SERVICES

Working with an Interior Designer is a collaborative process, one which a client should enjoy.
So while creativity is at the heart of any project, placing structure around this ensures the project is handled most effectively.
Below is the typical life cycle of a project:

AN INTRODUCTION

Normally 2-3 hours, an initial meeting is an opportunity to listen to your brief and see your building.  We do not charge to come and see you.

A PROPOSAL

We will visit you or send a fee proposal, documenting how we feel we may work together. This is an opportunity to set out the process specifically tailored to your requirements. At this point we will outline the costs we feel are associated with delivering the project.

CONCEPT PHASE

The Studio develops a concept design for the project, the outcome of this typically comprising:

  • Image boards

  • Physical samples of materials

  • Technical drawings

  • 3D sketches

  • A budget framework

DETAIL PHASE

The studio develops the concept design phase into room or area schemes….laid out together the entire project outcome is visible. Individual items are catalogued and budgeted in order to gain sign off. A final budget frequently runs into hundreds of individual line items. At this point one of our roles is to excite, not overwhelm, the client.

Should building works be required, the studio will deliver a full technical drawing and specification package to be used as part of a building tender. Services include:

  • Kitchen Design

  • Bathroom Design

  • Lighting & Electrical layouts

  • Heating Layouts

  • Joinery Design

  • Interior Architectural Design

Inevitably during a building tender, value engineering will be required. Here, the studio takes a pragmatic approach, ensuring best value and longevity on behalf of the client.

BUILD PHASE

As part of the project team we will be present during any building works to ensure workmanship is inspected and signed off. A further inevitability of a building project is change. Uncovering the legacies of past construction work, good and bad, will be met with a willingness to provide a constructive solution.

HANDOVER

The final phase, where the team will install furniture, fixtures and equipment, commonly referred to as FF&E. This is the culmination of the services listed above and the most exciting and satisfying part of the project.

POST HANDOVER

Care must be taken to ensure any snagging is rectified swiftly. Once the project has settled we would welcome your feedback as well as the opportunity to photograph your project and add it to our website.
